Ducklings Pre-School currently operates from 8.45am to 2.45pm each week day, term time only.  Our friendly and experienced staff use a mixture of free play and planned, structured activities to stimulate and inspire children as well as encourage their imagination and creativity. Being part of a rural community, outdoor learning is extremely important to us and we spend time all together in our garden area every day, weather permitting.

Every child has a key person who works closely with them, monitoring and recording development and feeding back to parents in a variety of ways. Ducklings works closely with Stoke Climsland Primary School with the majority of our children gaining a place there.

All children deserve to have an equal chance of success. High-quality early education is good for all children. It is especially important for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Staff ensure children reach their own potential through catering for their individual needs, ensuring they look at the whole child and making reasonable adjustments to include each individual.

Ducklings is a registered charity which is run by a committee of parents and employs a team of staff who are all highly qualified and trained, fully experienced and passionate about working with children. Find out more below.

I have worked at Ducklings pre-school since April 2011.

I have been the manager since 2015.

I am truly passionate about my job and love to watch the children thrive throughout their time with us. It is a privilege to work with such a great team of professionals that are extremely enthusiastic about their jobs. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, fun and stimulating environment for all ages and abilities. Learning is fun at Ducklings and we always provide the children with a safe, rich environment to explore and develop within.

I joined Ducklings pre-school in January 2012.

I am a key person for a group of children aged 3-4 years.
I feel that having strong relationships with our children and their families is very important and always strive to achieve this by offering any support and care that I can. I help to ensure that the children are prepared for the transition onto primary school, making sure they become confident and independent.
I love the outdoors and getting messy and enjoy creating rich learning environments for our children to learn in and most importantly explore and have fun.

I have worked at Ducklings pre school since April 2016.

One of my roles as a senior pre-school assistant is to be a key person for a group of children. I work with the 2–3 year old age group, ensuring they build good relationships and social skill within our pre-school, whilst making sure they feel safe and secure until they become familiar with a new environment.

I am passionate about my job, and truly believe that every child should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential by offering a stimulating, nurturing, secure and motivating environment.

I love every aspect of pre school and feel it's a privilege to be part of the children's early years learning journey.
